1. Acceptance
By using Margen, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service
Margen is a Chrome extension and SaaS product that provides AI editorial feedback inside Google Docs. The service includes a Chrome extension, a web dashboard, and a backend API.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to use Margen. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Margen.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Margen to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit malicious code
- Attempt to reverse engineer the service
- Resell or redistribute the service without permission
- Use the service to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your documents. Margen does not claim any rights to your content. The Margen software, brand, and website are owned by Margen and protected by intellectual property law.
7. AI-generated content
Margen uses AI to generate editorial feedback. AI-generated feedback may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to accept any AI suggestions. Margen is a tool, not a substitute for professional editorial judgment.
8. Limitation of liability
Margen is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Margen is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
